I don’t get to many MVA’s so I thought I would have a look at this, sounded interesting and since there was no major injuries off I went.

Just before 1130am on the 22nd June 2009 a truck jack knifed in the wet on the Gateway motorway , the truck crashed into the guardrail and continued to smash through approximately 150 mtrs until it crashed over the edge of the bridge, the truck was carrying 2 empty shipping containers, below the edge of the area where the truck crash was another motorway, so it was lucky that it stopped.

With pooring rain and traffic still going through the scene I only had time for a few shots, Ill share just one as it speaks for itself.

Commercial structure fire overnight, flame and smoke where visible by responding crews, investigations continue into the cause.

Just to let you know that I am still here , been travelling all over northern & western NSW , not a lot has been happening apart from that!

Fire broke out at this ABC Child Care Centre at North Lakes early this morning.

Fire spread from the rear section along a walkway and spread into the front section, fast and hard work externally from fire fighters stopped the fire from taking the entire complex.

On arrival crews found the front section smoke logged and the rear section going well.

Investigations continue into the cause.

Fire broke out late afternoon at a commercial premises at Pinkenba in Brisbane.
A 2nd alarm was called for the fire that was in many cars and vans at the rear of the commercial property.
Also destroyed where many 100’s of plastic pallet type storage devices.
At one stage the airport firies (located a stones throw away) used their vehicles to help fight the fire.
Investigations continue into the cause.

Off to the Air Show at Amberley for 2008, this time around (every 4 year’s approx) it was yet another great year.

I could torture you with the many 100’s of photo’s that I took but no I wont , these are just a small selection I chose, enjoy.

1st September 2008

Six fire appliances responded to a structural fire on Babdoyle St, Loganholme.

Smoke and flames were visible by fire fighters on arrival at what is believed to be a boat factory.

The 30m x 60m building was extensively damaged, investigations continue into the cause.

Tuesday 26th August 2008

Fire broke out at a scrapyard today around 1pm , I arrived after work around 9pm to snap a couple of images, HTML clipboard click on the thumbnail image to view the larger image, crews fought this one long and hard and are expected to be there for a few days.

Fire broke out at this Slacks Creek (south side) mattress factory earlier today, fire fighters arrived to find the top level going well and fought the fire to stop it spreading to adjoining business’s, investigations continue into the cause.

The victory Hotel in Brisbane has been severely damaged if not destroyed by fire early this morning, 6 people where taken to hospital and fire fighters where meet with chaotic scenes as as many as 700 people evacuated the building, many intoxicated making the scene difficult to access at first.

Police have praised Victory Hotel staff for their efforts in evacuating the building.

Whilst the building still looks fine externally the fire that started in the basement has created a hole that extends from the basement to the upper levels and through the roof severally damaging the property.

A factory fire at Northgate this morning started after midnight, fire crews arrived at the scene to find the premises well involved, crews worked fast to extinguish the fire before it could spread.

Firefighters were called to a shed that houses a leather-making operation at Narangba about 2pm today (Monday)

Fire crews arrived to find the rear of the building well alight.

Make Pumps 4 was called and crews from several stations worked hard to bring the fire under control.

Fire caused extensive damage to at least three business’s on Brisbane’s Southside early this morning, up to 40 fire fighters with 7 Pumps & 2 aerials worked to extinguish the fire.

A house fire spread to a 2nd property and threatened to go further, crews worked fast to stop the spread of fire at Spring Hill, a city suburb of Brisbane extra pumps where called for a 2 street attack to bring the fire under control..

A fire in a heavy industrial area on Brisbane’s Southside was contained to one factory 60×30mtrs that stored foam products after 2 hours of hard work by attending crews.
